Juicy ripe cherry. Orange peel finish. A robust Niagara rosé with aromas of rhubarb and cranberry on the nose that follow through on the dry, mouth-watering palate. Good acidity for food. Finishes with pink grapefruit and clementine. Pair this wine with lightly spiced or curried dishes.

Rosé food pairings: charcuterie, pork or mushroom burgers, bean salads, salty cheeses like pecorino or asiago.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

With a remarkably deep and brilliant pink colour, 13th Street Winery's 2016 Pink Palette does exactly what a great Rose ought to do...gets your taste buds revved up and upon that first sip delivers you to that summer oasis. The nose shows ripe sweet red fruit, cranberry, apple, cherry and pomegranate aromas. A blend of 31% Cabernet Franc, 31% Merlot, 19% Pinot Noir, and 19% Chardonnay from the Niagara Peninsula, it all makes for a refreshing glass of wine that delivers layers of sweet and tart red berries with baking spice and dried herbs making it very approachable to enjoy on its own and equally delicious when enjoyed with a wide array of dishes. My top picks include BBQ burgers, charcuterie, summer salads, and also spicy Asian cuisine. A touch of sweetness on the finish keeps inviting you back for another sip... Tasted June 2017. 88 points. 13Th Street Pink Palette (2016) is a full-bodied, dry Niagara rosé with a pronounced nose of rhubarb and cranberry and with pink grapefruit and soft orange flavours on the palate matched by great acidity. Red and white wine grapes for this wine include Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Great for the barbeque. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
