Note: This batch of wine reviews is not part of the bi-weekly Vintages Releases. Instead, it's a collection of wines outside the Vintages section in store (general list) or wines sent to me directly from wineries that may not yet be available in liquor stores. Click on the Winery or Wine Agency link to get more info.

Please note that our reviews are based on a variety of sources: samples sent to our team, those we purchase in store, tasting events, those tasted in restaurants and while traveling domestically and internationally.

Other Wines/Drinks

Stirrings Margarita Cocktail Mix, United States: Stirrings Margarita Cocktail Mix is a zesty, vibrant blend that delivers bold flavors of fresh lime, a touch of agave sweetness, and a whisper of sea salt, making it taste like a beach vacation in a glass. It’s medium-bodied with a refreshing tartness and a smooth 10% ABV (when mixed with tequila). Serve it ice-cold in a salt-rimmed glass alongside spicy shrimp tacos—the bright citrus will tame the heat like a hero with a lime wedge—or enjoy it as a quick, crowd-pleasing pitcher drink for your next fiesta. Fascinating fact: Stirrings was founded by a bartender who wanted to bring craft cocktail quality to home mixology, and their all-natural ingredients mean no artificial flavors—just pure, tangy goodness. At $12, this mix is the ultimate shortcut to margarita bliss—just add tequila and pretend you squeezed all those limes yourself. MS 750 mL $15.98 Score: 91/100. August 2025. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Rosés

The Good Earth Rosé 2025, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: The Good Earth Rosé 2025 is a charming and food-friendly rosé from the Niagara Peninsula, one of Ontario's most celebrated wine regions, where the moderating influence of Lake Ontario creates a climate capable of producing wines of genuine elegance and freshness. The nose is inviting and softly aromatic, with notes of fresh strawberry, watermelon, a hint of peach, and a delicate floral lift that gives it a summery, approachable character. On the palate it is light to medium bodied with bright acidity, a clean and smooth texture, and a crisp, berry-tinged finish that is dry, refreshing, and well-proportioned. It is a thoughtfully made rosé that reflects The Good Earth's commitment to sustainable farming and expressive, terroir-driven winemaking in the heart of Niagara's wine country. Fascinating fact: The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. is as well known for its culinary experiences and farm-to-table dining as it is for its wines, making it one of Ontario's most beloved agritourism destinations and a pioneer in connecting wine directly to the land and kitchen from which it comes. This wine is best enjoyed chilled at 8 to 10°C in a tulip-shaped rosé glass or a standard white wine glass, allowing its delicate fruit and floral aromatics to express themselves fully. Rosé food pairings: chilled poached lobster, watermelon and feta skewers, rosé-braised chicken thighs, fresh spring pea and mint crostini, light smoked trout pâté. Drink: 2026 - 2027 12% D 750 mL $22.00 Score: 92/100. August 2025. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
