Terres Secrètes Les Préludes 2018, Saint-Véran, Burgundy A.C., France: Terres Secrètes Les Préludes 2018 is a well-priced vibrant, medium-bodied Burgundian Chardonnay, buttery with citrus zest, fresh apple, pears and fine herb flavours creamy on the palate with a long, clean citrusy and mineral finish. Chill and enjoy on its own or pair with grilled seafood dishes. Saint-Véran is a neighbour appellation to the Pouilly-Fuissé AOC. Domaine de la Cendrillon Atypique 2018, Languedoc I.G.P., France: Domaine de la Cendrillon Atypique 2018 is produced from organically-grown Merlot, Mourvèdre and Marselan wine grapes (30/30/40) plushy with red berry, dark plum, dark cherry, violets, savoury herb and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are structured. Pour with a rich lamb stew or juicy pork roast. Excellent value under $17. This vintage was awarded Silver at the 2020 Concours Général Paris, 2020.
