Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Love this tasty and cozy Gamay (2021) from Lunessence Vineyard and Winery that seriously does showcase the winery's unique terroir in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. Dry, medium-plus to full-bodied and meaty with fresh dark cherry, pepper and toasty oak spice with a great balance of acidity, velvety tannins and a long and vibrant, harmonious finish. Excellent stuff, and it's just starting to show its best now but will drink well over the next 3-5 years. Chill it up a bit prior to serving it with your favourite winter dish like tourtière, beef bourguignon and, of course, coq au vin. Tasted December 2022.

Lunessence Winery and Vineyards has been farming organically since its launch in 2014 and was organically certified in 2020. Around the estate vineyard there are two natural wetlands with a diversity of flora and fauna giving a natural balance to the vines and ecosystem as a whole.

Retasted August 22 2023: Even smoother than it was last year! Smooth, satiny with dark cherry, red berry, sultry and savoury confirming this wild ferment, unfined and unfiltered Gamay (2021) is simply delish. Th is vintage spent four months in neutral French oak barrels.
