The wine here is very pale with a rim like the colour of pomegranate seeds. On the nose it shows cranberry/pomegranate fruit, some minerality, baking spices and a good acidity. The light red fruits, minerality and baking spices are all on the palate as well. The texture is remarkable. The very fine grained fruit lingers and haunts for a long while B to B+ ~ 93

Julia’s Vineyard, in Santa Barbara county was named for Julia Jackson in 1988. It consists of ancient soils with fossilized seashells, shale, limestone, and sand, with fog-affected vines. There are over 400 acres of pinot noir vines on the estate, containing eight different clones including 4, 2A, 23, 667, 115, 777 and 828.
