Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

The King's Ransom series of wines from Noble Ridge are only made in exceptional years. This 2014 Meritage blends 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. This wine spent 15 months in French and American oak, and then a further 14 months aging in bottle (and could be left for a while longer!) Lots of earthy and smoky notes, along with cassis, mint, tobacco, and mocha. Full bodied, firm but structured tannins, nice fruit on the palate, mingling with spicy tobacco notes, and a lengthy finish. Enjoy this for years to come with grilled meat, hard cheeses, or just savour on its own. Very special!

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
