Philippe scored this wine: 91/100
It's a blend mainly made of 85% Tempranillo completed by 10% Mazuelo (also know as Carignan) and 5% Graciano.
It's a Gran Reserva which means this wine has been aged 5 years (2 years in oak barrel and 3 years in bottle).
Deep garnet color with notes of black licorice, cedar, cinnamon, ripe red berries and tobacco.
It's a complex, aromatic and elegant wine with its soft tannins.
Perfect to match slow-cooked dishes such as Chorizo and chickpea stew or slow-cooked elk meatballs served on orzo.
Serve it between 15-17 degrees and don't forget to decanter this wine 30 minutes before sipping. Note this wine might contains sediments so when you poor in carafe, go slowly and use a candle to split the sediment from the wine.
Enjoyable now with a good meal but can be aged 8-10 years.
