I would hazard a guess that if you drank this wine 10 times in 10 days you would discover at least one new flavour every day. It is loaded with rich complexity that simply doesn't end. Yeast, cookie, bread, toast, peach, and minerality all come through, then finally some wonderful hazelnut which hits at the end and lingers on and on and on...

Though a half bottle is $70, I publicly declared that this is one of the best dessert wines I have ever tried. This wine has the rare ability to make you stop what your doing and tell everyone around you to be quiet so you can enjoy the moment. The sparkling element is perfectly balanced with the icewine while not being over the top sweet. Just magical.

A semi sweet, sparkling Champagne that is exquisite. Right at the start you get rich cookie flavours mixed with candied fruit, however on the palate the slight sweetness if balanced by some rich, fresh acidity. Serve as an after dinner cockatil or faired with dessert light in sweetness.

A beautiful non vintage Champagne that I would actually rate higher than the 2004 vintage Rose. It is a consistent wine that hits you with strawberry and some toast right at the start, then a long lingering finish. Another reason for the high rating is the ability of this wine to pair with food. Pair with just about anything from light salads with fruit to complex meat dishes including thanksgiving turkey or pork dishes.

When I tasted this wine I made a very distinct note saying "the true essence of Champagne." It's simple but means a lot. Complex layers with fruit and a hint of sweetness showing in concentrated fruit not sugar. Followed by a second layer of yeast and peach. Just a beautiful overall wine.

First Wine

Wow... can't remember. What I do know is that I hated wine until I met my wife 9 years ago. She turned me onto it and I have never looked back.
