Sue reviewed this wine:

Colour is deep red with purple glints. Nose of black currants and earth, with a hint of smoky complexity. A fine balance followed by a fruity finish and soft tannins.

Sue reviewed this wine:

Prominent and typical nose of both white and black pepper, hint of grapefruit zest with supporting layers of black cherry and black plum. Palate is mid-weight showing soft tannins and fruit, along with subtle oak spice and a finish mirroring the nose and palate.

Sue reviewed this wine:

90 points - "The super hot 2007 summer helped boost the fruit in this potent chardonnay. Rich aromas of buttery apple, summer lime and peach lead into smooth and mellow flavours, brimming with ripe pear and spicy golden apple depth. Big and bold.” –Gord Stimmell, Toronto Star 5 stars! - “A fine Ontario Chardonnay. Straw coloured with an intense nose of lychee, tropical fruit and toasty oak; full-bodied, well structured, fleshy but elegant with caramel and citrus flavours and a nutty finish.” –Tony Aspler, tonyaspler.ca

Southbrook Sauvignon Blanc 2007

Niagara-On-The-Lake, Canada

Sue reviewed this wine:

Very clean, pungent, fresh and highly fruity, with wonderfully aromatic passion fruit and green tropical fruit, fresh apple, pineapple, highly inviting. Dry, medium body, with ripe fruit up front on the palate that yields quickly to tart green apple acidity that maintains great freshness and juiciness, finishing on lemony notes. Gives great Sancerre or NZ a run for the money. –John Szabo, wineaccess.ca

Southbrook Vineyards Triomphe Cabernet Merlot 2006

Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

Sue reviewed this wine:

“This is lovely – so seamless, generous and complex. And yet another surprisingly charming, nicely evolving 2006. Expect an intense savoury nose of tobacco, currants, cedar and some pencil eraser. Very Bordeaux-like. It’s mid-weight, slim and well balanced with fine tannin. Raspberry-currant fruit, roasted red pepper and fresh herbs run to excellent length indeed. Enjoy now through 2013.” –David Lawrason, winerytohome.com
