Gran Reserva Etiqueta Azul

Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva Etiqueta Azul 2018

Maipo Valley D.O., Chile

Craig Haynes WSET3 scored this wine: 92/100

Lots of right is happening in this red from Chile’s Valle del Maipo appellation. Vina Tarapaca's blend bill for this Gran Reserva is Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Syrah, with Cabernet Sauvignon being the most plentiful varietal. The aroma evokes a stunning assortment of berries, plums and herbal notes. This Chilean red feels pleasingly silky, extra dry, full bodied with moderate touch tannins and a no hurry to leave finish. Plus, it has delicious flavours - more fresh than ripe – that taste like dark berries and cherries accented with sweet spices. I particularly like how this red feels. I'd serve the 2018 Etiiqueta Azul Viña with savoury pork tenderloin. Reviewed September 2021

Sea Sun

Wagner Family of Wine Sea Sun Chardonnay 2018

California, United States

Craig Haynes WSET3 scored this wine: 90/100

Attractive aromas headline the 2018 Sea Sun Vineyard Chardonnay. Elegant and defined, the scents suggest floral, apple, peach, buttery and smoky oak. Building on these scents, this Sea Sun experience feels pleasantly dry and structured and reveals compact flavours reminiscent of bin apple, late harvest peaches and oak spice. This chardonnay was crafted with grapes sourced from California’s Solano, Monterey and Santa Barbara counties. Rotisserie chicken and BLTs would pair nicely with this chard. Reviewed October 2021

This Rosé's compact 250ml container is easy to carry anywhere and to recycle with ease. Filled with an international blend from imported and Canadian wine, this Rosé has an easy drinking style defined by ripe strawberry notes. It is ready to chill and be consumed on its own or in a single serving sangria. Enjoy.

Etiqueta Negra Gran Reserva

Viña Tarapacá Etiqueta Negra Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Maipo Valley D.O., Chile

Craig Haynes WSET3 scored this wine: 90/100

Vina Tarapaca’s Etiqueta Negra is delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile’s revered Maipo Valley appellation. It reveals lots of pleasing dark fruits, sweet spices and low key minerality notes for you to inhale and taste. For me, this 14% abv cab feels medium bodied, pleasantly extra dry with moderately grippy tannins and a minutes long finish. In other words, it feels lovely. Uncork this creation with beef tenderloin served up with grilled root veggies. Reviewed September 2021
