Very tart and acidic with flavours of sour cherry. The vines for this Niagara-on-the-Lake wine grow outside a Leeds certified winery building, and the grapes are hand-picked. Black fruit aromas and flavours with a firm tannic grip on the palate of this full-bodied Niagara red wine blend.

Juicy blackberry and plum aromas are found in this purple hued full-bodied red. You can also find violet, cinnamon, cedar, and pot-pourrit aromas. In terms of flavours, there is wild blueberries with cedar coming through ever so slightly on the palate, with a rich and slightly bitter cocoa finish. It is a food-friendly wine with medium to almost firm tannins.

Suggested wine-food pairing: Beef roast rubbed in dried herbs.

I have liked previous vintages of this wine very much. This one looses a step on those but not too much. Aromatically a winner with lovely floral elements with fruit-forward style. On the palate it shows berries but not as ripe as previous vintages leaving this wine very dry. Needs some food with a good fat content for it to shine.
From Stratus Vineyards, Wildass 2014 is tart sour cherry on the palate with a mouth-watering finish. The vines for this Niagara-on-the-Lake wine grow outside a Leeds certified winery building, and the grapes are hand-picked.
