This single vineyard Chardonnay is made from grapes of which 90% are fermented in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new, thus lending a stronger oak undertone to the wine. Overall, this tasty wine is quite buttery, yet still fruity. Aromas of tropical fruit and peach are followed by flavours of pear, apple, and vanilla. It would be great paired with Chicken Kiev or Crab Cakes. Tasted at the California Wine Fair, April 19, 2018.

The oak is quite subtle and allows the nectarine flavors to show through. Notable acidity and medium to long finish, this wine would do well with a fettuccine alfredo or aged cheddar cheese. The moderate pricing makes this wine a great value and worthy of sharing with your dinner guests.
