Reviews and Ratings

Neil Phillips rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely Riesling aromas of lime zest, white nectarine, grapefruit, acacia, honey notes. Very slight kerosene.

Flavours of grapefruit, lime zest, nectarine, pineapple, with a flinty note.

Crisp, dry, high acid with medium body and intensity. Well-balanced.

Was hoping for a bit more complexity, but a few years in bottle will likely see this improve even further.

Tasted November 2016.
Thorne-Clarke has taken a minimalistic approach to making this wine, preferring to let it do its own thing. Grapes for the Eden Trail 2015 were picked during the cool of night. The wine was fermented cool and there is minimal fining and filtration on it. The Riesling has good weight on the mid-palate, crisp in flavour with lime zest and finishing with a clean, defined minerality. A great Riesling to either have on its own or pair with smoked fish or lemon-laced shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews
