Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This Cabernet Franc is as close to single varietal as I have ever seen for CF in Bordeaux with Merlot making up 5% of the blend. Broad and appealing nose with powerful notes of plum, black cherry, and dark fruit all leaning towards jammy in reflection of the ripe 2010 vintage. Additionally there are black pepper, spice, and cedar aromas. Tannins possess grip, acidity is bright, and body is full. Still opening up and revealing more. Drink over the next decade with red meats or a cigar.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This 95% Cab Franc, 5% Merlot Gran Cru comes from 40 year old vines. Nine years in it is still a vibrant plum colour with a fresh nose mildly reminiscent of woodsy, cedar. The palate is clean and all elements are beautifully integrated. Mature tannins extend the finish. An elegant wine that would pair well with rack of lamb or duck confit. Tasted May 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Primo du Chateau La Clide is a Grand Cru Saint-Émilion full-bodied, Cabernet Franc dominant red wine, intense with crushed raspberry, white pepper spice and flinty flavours on the palate. Needs a couple years in cellar to show its best. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
