The Nyarai Cellars Cadence, is a terrific blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Niagara Peninsula. This sophisticated blend offers aromas of plum, blackcurrant and dried herbs with subtle tobacco notes. Medium to full-bodied with velvety tannins and a long, elegant finish. I’d pair this with wild mushroom and truffle risotto where the creamy arborio rice is slowly stirred to perfection with earthy wild mushrooms and finished with a drizzle of truffle oil, creating a luxurious dish that complements the wine’s complex character.

Food pairings: grilled steak, gourmet burgers, BBQ ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Michael Chow rated this wine as 90/100
This wine is a full-bodied blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec, showcasing Niagara's balance of power and grace. It presents a harmonious structure with rich black fruit, redcurrant, hints of chocolate, white pepper, and subtle oak spice. While firm, it carries a refined elegance and offers a smooth, lingering finish. Enjoy now or age through to 2030. Pair with grilled steak or gourmet burgers for a treat. - Community Wine Reviews
