A savoury Italian red wine with a lovely nose of fleshy ripe black fruit and some mocha in this lovely interpretation of the nebula grape. Full-bodied and layered for complexity with a long finish. Barolo in all its glory, with those exotic and elusive wild violet and crushed wild raspberry notes on the palate. Pair with watching the movie Il Postino. This full-bodied red wine also pairs well with a variety of robust beef dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I've tasted this wine in 2018, and now in 2020. It keeps getting better. There's lots of gorgeous black cherry, raspberry, and red plum skin notes, as well as dried purple flowers, cool spice and a whiff of roast meat. 93 Points. Drink now through 2032

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
