Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

If you are a fan of bold Chardonnay it will be hard to beat this one. It opens with pronounced oak and butter on the nose, then offers up some interesting underlying ginger, sweet clove and cinnamon tones. All the promise of the nose carries over to the palate. Rich, buttery and spicy with a long finish. Serve with rich, caramelized onion tartes. At. 12.95 for 375 ml it is excellent value. Tasted Aug 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
J. Lohr Estates Riverstone 2017 Chardonnay from the Arroyo Seco California wine region is fantastic value under $13. Fragrant with yellow plum, lime zest and fresh cream aromas on the nose with ripe melon, creamy peach and lime-lemon zest flavours on the palate. Chill and enjoy with grilled chicken breast dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
