Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The grapes for this wine hail from different single vineyard parcels from the Austrian wine region of Traisental DAC with an average vine-age of 5 to 80 years old.
Intense aromas of freshly squeezed lemon & black peppercorns, dried apricots, minerals and forest flor during an autumnal hike.
Texturally typical of a good quality Gruner with that wonderful oiliness. Dry, complex and funky in a fabulous way! More dried apricots, minerals and burnt orange zest flavors.
Spectacular now with great ageing potential in the right conditions!
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Refreshing notes of lemon, green apple and fresh herbs. I love the signature, slight effervescence found in Gruner Vetliner. Bright acidity with a tangy finish. Would pair well with flakey white fish poached in butter sauce. Tasted June 2017.
Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Alex: Interesting nose of mandarin orange, white mushroom and yellow apple. The palate is vibrant of orange zest and ginger notes. Quite dense as well. Well done and different. 88pts

Priya: Beautiful, fruity notes of citrus and unripe pear. Slight effervescence to this followed by a crisp tartness. 88pts
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted July 20th, 2017. Colour clear and pale green. Aroma, lemon lime and yes mandarin orange. Taste, silky soft, Meyer lemon, medium dry, mouthwatering. This wine is very easy to drink and is very refreshing. I was eating a Cesar salad topped with BBQ white meat chicken and homemade croutons. I would recommend this bottle and exploring other producers of this grape variety.
