Lots of sweet chocolate, mocha and coffee on the nose of this generously oaked Oregon Pinot Noir. Medium-bodied and smooth, the vines for this wine are planted along the coastal hills of the state which have cool summers and a short growing season. The name Elouan translates to good light. Joseph Wagner is the winemaker. Racy acidity for seafood and roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The 2015 growing season was dry and warm - a combination that leads to the production of wonderfully ripe fruit - rich and elegant - layers of cherry, vanilla, toast and milk chocolate. Great structure - very well done!
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A bit heavier and dark in color than a typical Oregon Pinot Noir. The nose offers cherry aroma with tart cherry, cranberry, vanilla and some earth on the palate. The flavors soften nicely into a velvety tannin finish. Tasted September 2018.
From J. Wagner, Copper Cane Wines, Elouan (2015) is an Oregon Pinot Noir sourced from three valleys: the Umpqua, Willamette and Rogue. The wine is rich with lots of ripe and fleshy red fruit, mocha, vanilla and finishes with a light toast. Very elegant and well-built. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
