Lovely, lovely, lovely! Dried peach and Asian pear with baking spices. Dry, refreshing and beautifully flavoured. Please, listen to me (sorry to hold you forearm like that), get out of your chardonnay rut. Yes, this is an invention. We are all concerned about you and want the best for your drinking pleasure.

Pinot Gris food pairings: baked salmon with a spicy Thai treatment such as nam phrik num.

Reviews and Ratings

Aimee Fowler - WSET L2 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This bio-dynamic Pinot Gris from Alsace is all tropical fruit and minerality with an alcohol content level that does not show on the palate. It has such fruit notes of pineapple, peach, star fruit, under-ripe mango and the crisp notes of apple with a hint of citrus. The alcohol level sits at 14.5% (which is the level most common for red wines), but does not have the burn that is commonly associated with such a high alcohol level. It is a very pleasant and well balanced wine. A perfect match for BBQ'd pork, and lighter food fares so this wine can shine through.
Aromas of honey, cantaloupe, ripe peach, petrol and lees with a white stone minerality. Juicy, complex and quite creamy and big in the mouth with a crisp and bright acidity and more minerality riding alongside the rich fruit notes. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, March 2013
