Aimee Fowler rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This bio-dynamic Pinot Gris from Alsace is all tropical fruit and minerality with an alcohol content level that does not show on the palate. It has such fruit notes of pineapple, peach, star fruit, under-ripe mango and the crisp notes of apple with a hint of citrus. The alcohol level sits at 14.5% (which is the level most common for red wines), but does not have the burn that is commonly associated with such a high alcohol level. It is a very pleasant and well balanced wine. A perfect match for BBQ'd pork, and lighter food fares so this wine can shine through.

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht Calcaire Pinot Gris 2011, A.C., Alsace, France: Lovely, lovely, lovely! Dried peach and Asian pear with baking spices. Dry, refreshing and beautifully flavoured. Please, listen to me (sorry to hold you forearm like that), get out of your chardonnay rut. Yes, this is an invention. We are all concerned about you and want the best for your drinking pleasure. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
