Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

A traditional blend of 4 grapes, often also used in port wine, this is a more modern style of Douro red, aged for 12 months in 35% new French oak which is beautifully integrated into the wine. It is fruit forward with clean fresh fruit notes. The palate is balanced with mineral characters and offers intense violets, chocolate and black peppers aromas. The finish is long and very fresh, no cloying or jammy characters in spite of its 14.2% alcohol. Try with smoked paprika lamb shanks @wrightwineblog
Crasto 2015 Superior is a generous and concentrated red wine blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz, 25% Touriga Franca and 5% Souzão, aged for 12 months in 35% new French oak. Elegant and a real crowd-pleaser with earthy florals, fresh red and dark berry flavours and a dark cocoa finish. Tannins are silky and rounded. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
