A big-boned French red wine with a firm tannic grip so it needs cellar time but this baby is hugely delicious! When you (finally) open it, decant 2 hours and pair with a rare steak. Highly recommended.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A fragrant nose showing red fruit and fresh earth. The palate show ripe cassis, earth and vanilla. Beautiful harmonious mouthfeel and a velvety, ripe cassis finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A pretty nose of ripe berries, plum, cherry compote and floral. Polishing tannins with a good finish. Makes a great everyday Bordeaux at the $20 price point. Suggest decanting and pair with red meats - cooked medium-rare.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby with nice dark berry notes, a fine entry level Bordeaux that delivers on taste, quality, and best yet, it's available at an entry level price. Enjoy with food. 88 points. Tasted March 2015. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
