Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful, bright golden star. This Alsacian Gewürztraminer is amazing, complex, well structured and offers great value. Full bodied, bold aromatics, a dense concentrated palate and mouthfeel, and uber mouthwatering acidity, this wine is screaming for attention from all the senses. Canned mandarin oranges, lychee, and the most intense rose petal aromatics I have yet experienced in a white varietal. Absolutely wonderful to experience. A long finish with persistence of mandarin orange slices and rose petal. Tasted 2010 vintage in Jan 2017. Rated 92/100. Bespoketastings.ca
Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2011 Concours des Grands Vins de France, in Mâcon. Medium yellow colour. Intense nose features honeysuckle, orange blossom, cinnamon, lychee, ginger and masala spice. Medium in sweetness, round and weighty with a hint of the fine and classic Gewurz bitterness on the end. Front-loaded with lychee, with floral and spice emerging towards the finish. Considering the initial sweetness on the start, there is a lovely elegance to this wine. Source: Vintages Wine Catalogue
