Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The aromatics, flavours, and feels of this wine gave my senses something (appealing) to talk about. How about you?

I like the clingy, textured, and fresh feels that Big Head’s wine making magic has brought to (and drawn from) the Chardonnay grapes harvested for this bottle. I’m also drawn to this liquid’s aroma / taste appeal, which is like grilled tropical fruits, caramelized coconut, and lemon pith. Delicious.

If appellation awareness is your thing, this creation is classified as Niagara Peninsula, a region in Ontario, Canada located about a 2 hour drive from Toronto’s CN Tower.
Big Head Wines describes itself as having over 20 years of winemaking experience, and specializing in small-batch, artisanal creations, utilizing unique techniques such as wild fermentation, the appassimento method, and various aging vessels to enhance the depth and flavour of their wines.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous! This Chardonnay is refreshing, bright, and flavourful. Aromas of golden apple and pear, along with lemon pith, and hints of toasted almonds and honey. Medium bodied, dry and smooth on the palate with medium+ acidity, with golden, ripened fruit on the palate, mingled with notes of honey and a touch of minerality on the finish. Enjoy with seared scallops.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
