This was quite nice! Medium plus aroma intensities of raspberry, tart cherry, smoked paprika, stemmy earth and a touch of coffee. In the mouth, medium plus flavour intensity of cherry, cranberry and smokey leather, high acidity and low tannins. Youthful, and fun. Pair with roast quail, dried cranberry hummus and pita, and trail mix.

Raspberry, floral, and smoke notes with some cherry cola on the palate. Good body and medium tannins on the finish. Tasted March 2018 and paired with turkey burgers.

This wine is made by King Estates, an extremely reliable producer from Oregon. This wine was sourced from parcels all over Oregon, hence its general difference from straight-up Willamette. It was sourced from the expansive holding this company owns between the Cascade and Coastal mountain ranges.
Deeper blackish garnet to the core of this wine. Still quite bright at the edges.
Aromas of pot pourri, roses, black tea, cherry, blackberry, and cranberry.
The alcohol in this Pinot Noir is a bit higher than is generally expected in a Pinot Noir (almost 14%). It pushes the total experience of this wine into a North American, new world style - done with high-tech gizmos, like destemmers and stainless steel vats for temperature control. Someone who likes Cali or New Zealand will see this style as more recognizeable.
Gushy black and red fruit on top of an earthy, floral composure. Some leather, moderate tannins, and a firm finish accented with bitter chocolate.
Put this wone with a hearty fall soup, or maybe a spinach and garlic quiche.
