Whippoorwill Vineyards is a family owned and operated farm winery. Every operation is done by hand. From harvesting, to bottling, corking and sealing, to putting the bottle in the box, everybody pitches in to help. We are delighted to invite you and your family to visit our winery and experience the rich flavors of the native Alabama wines. Embrace the natural beauty and charm of the countryside surrounding Whippoorwill Vineyards while enjoying traditional Southern hospitality.

We are the only winery in Southeastern Alabama. Located just off Hwy 14, we are the only winery in Southeastern Alabama. We are just 20 minutes west of Auburn and 40 minutes east of Montgomery. You will be surprised when you arrive and experience this hidden treasure of a vineyard. Visitors have said, "I had no idea this existed," and "we can not believe there was a vineyard here. It looks like we are in California wine country or Italy." We are very proud of Whippoorwill and of all the hard work and dedication that has been put into its creation. We are also thankful for our family, friends and community that have supported us in our endeavors. We have been very blessed in all that we have and we want to give thanks to God for giving us this opportunity.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
