Villa Hermosa Cellars is a small, family-owned wine company located on the hillside of Howell Mountain, Napa, California. With only two and a half acres of Cabernet Sauvignon vines, the wine production is small and exclusive. The vineyards are lovingly tended to by the owner, whose background as a Landscape Architect and Contractor give him extensive knowledge about plants, irrigation, soils, sun exposure, weather and the other many details that are so important in producing a high quality grape.

Our wine is created from 100% Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the rich, volcanic soil of the Villa Hermosa Vineyards on a south facing hillside 2000 feet above the Napa Valley. Here, we are above the fog where the influence of the sea washes in. The Villa Hermosa Cellars Cabernet derives it intense color and memorable taste from this extraordinary growing environment, and our cultivation techniques that develop fruit of maximum quality.

We believe you will enjoy our wine as much as others have. We invite you to stay among our vineyards in our guest house, The Cottage at Villa Hermosa. For a description, photographs, rates or to request a reservation, please go to www.villahermosacottages.com. We look forward to seeing you!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
