Twin Oaks Tavern vineyard and winery are a dream come true for Donna and Bob Evers. While Donna Evers is the owner and broker of a thriving residential real estate firm, Evers & Company Real Estate, with offices in Chevy Chase, Dupont Circle and Bluemont, the Evers got "vineyard fever" traveling in Europe. Donna and Bob own an apartment in the 6th arrondissment in Paris and they have visited many vineyards in France, including the ones in Burgundy, which they believe are the most inspiring in all of France. Equally inspiring are the vineyards owned by Donna's relatives who live in Zagreb, Croatia, where they have grown grapes and made wine for over a hundred years.

The Evers' country home, Twin Oaks Tavern, was a favored 1920's retreat for residents of the nation's capital to relax and enjoy refreshment in the cool breezes of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The mountainside location has the ideal altitude and mineral-rich soil to cultivate grapes and produce distinctive wines. They invite you to enjoy their wines and views of the Shenandoah Valley. Visit the tasting room with the stone fireplace in fall and winter, and enjoy the wine deck with its views of the valley in spring and summer. Bring your picnic, kids and dogs.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
