Our wines are entirely handcrafted at our mountain home/winery, a setting where we are dedicated to creating wine of uncompromising quality and distinction. At TimberRock, we believe optimizing vineyard quality is the single most important factor in achieving superlative wine quality. Therefore, we have established long-term relationships with those winegrowers willing to collaborate with us in achieving our rigorous vineyard goals. During harvest, we carry-out multiple grape pickings within our small vineyard blocks based on subtle differences of microclimates and soil types to ensure the precise flavor profiles we desire. Our techniques in winemaking are designed to conserve and enhance the expression of those optimally tended and superior vineyards.
To achieve our exacting winemaking standards, we employ winemaking equipment of the absolute highest quality available.By the end of the harvest we are managing many small wine lots resulting from our diminutive vineyard blocks, multiple grape pickings within these blocks, low yields and small fermentation bins demanding individualized care.
Creating the perfect TimberRock blend is extremely challenging. The painstaking and rigorous process of selecting and blending wine lots that are objectively the most concentrated yet balanced, delicious and of the highest quality defines the TimberRock Domaine. Ultimately, TimberRock is a labor of love that allows us to truly express our definition of great wine.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
