Established in 1998, Sorensen Cellars is a small family winery dedicated to the limited production of premium wines at affordable pricing.

Great Wines ate made from outstanding grapes. Our philosophy at Sorensen Cellars is to seek out the superior vineyards in Washington State.

Soils, sub-soils, drainage, the orientation of the vineyards to the sun, climate, all of these factors along with smart vineyard management contribute to the production of exceptional fruit.

At Sorensen Cellars we age our wines in French Oak Barrels, imparting character and structure yet aiming for balance, allowing the natural fruit characters to dominate the wine. Blending wines is a craft unto itself. We take great pride in selecting the wines used to create a single varietal or using several varietals to create a blend.

We offer two labels, Sorensen, being our premium label, and Townsend Bay oriented towards fun and value.

We invite you to visit Sorensen Cellars and try our winery's unique personality and style.

Port Townsend winery, Sorensen Cellars, was recently awarded a gold medal for its 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon and a silver medal for its 2002 Cabernet Franc in the Wines of Washington Festival. Sorensen Cellars, a small family owned winery, has consistently produced award winning wines since its opening in 1998.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
