Pursuing our philosophy of hand-crafted, low input winemaking, at Sogno we believe the less we manipulate the wine, the more flavor and complexity you will enjoy in every glass. To accomplish this, we move wine by gravity whenever possible and allow the wine to mature in our unique underground storage cave, the perfect environment for slow, gentle, barrel aging. The result is wine that tempts the senses. Wine that can be enjoyed on its own or as the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

In the picturesque hills of the Sierra Nevada rests a winery destined to create some of the finest wines the region has to offer. Italian for dream, Sogno (sewn-yo) Winery is truly a dream come true for the Davis family. In 1998, Richard, Jackie, Eric and Summer purchased the land and the original Hodgkins homestead dating back to the 1880s. Long used for farming and gold mining, if you walk down by the creek you can still see remnants of the prospecting equipment long abandoned by those who sought their fortune. Today, the land is blanketed with rows of vines, evidence of a dream fulfilled.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
