Located in the Lake Erie North Shore wine region, Smith & Wilson Estate Wines was opened by George and Mary Jane Smith in 2005. Their winery is family owned and located at their 3rd generation century farm. It is small and picturesque, with vines growing on a gently sloping ridge that meets the north shore of Lake Erie.

All the wines are produced on site with farm grown grapes or fruit. In 2006 they released their Viognier, a smooth easy drinking variety reminiscent of summer peaches. They are the only winery in the area to produce wine from this grape.

In their first major wine competition six Medals of merit were awarded at the All Canadian Wine Championships

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
