Scribner Bend Vineyards is located just 12 minutes from the Capital and Downtown Sacramento along the beautiful Sacramento River. We feature award winning wines, over 6000 square feet of outdoor lawn and gardens, and a tasting room for guests to enjoy the complete winery experience. n 1893, George Washington Scribner, being lured into farming by the rich, deep soils of the Sacramento River Delta, settled along what is now called Scribner Bend. The river bend became a vital shipping point, picking up produce, mail and passengers by steam boat.

The Scribner family has been in California for 5 generations, beginning with George Washington Scribner in 1893. Our ranch runs along the Sacramento Delta where our family has farmed for over 100 years. We are very excited to share with you the most recent addition to the Scribner family; our winery, Scribner Bend Vineyards.
he production of Scriber Bend wines is forever changing with the new trends in the wine industry and Mark is always looking to introduce something new and exciting as he did with our Tempranillo. Now in production, Mark has grafted a new Italian varietal “Negro Amaro” which will be ready for its 1st harvest in 2008.

After the opening of our tasting room in 2004, Scribner Bend was encouraged to add Weddings to our grounds. This year Scribner Bend under the co-ordination of Mairi McGinnis, Event and Marketing manager has exceeded our expectations of Weddings booked for 2008 and already booking for 2009.

Our Family and Staff strive to make your experience with Scribner Bend one that will always be wonderful and memorable.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
