Richard Partridge Wines is a small family owned winery in the Napa Valley with just around 1,000 cases of Chardonnay and Cabernet produced each year. Our low production and small operation keeps us from many mass marketing techniques, and it means we have to have a big story, luckily we do! Richard grew up around soybeans and wheat on the farms of Indiana, a far cry from the crops he would someday be cultivating.

Today, Richard continues to run both companies in northern and southern California, which means frequent flyer miles are never short. The next step for Richard Partridge Wines is the planting of vineyards in St. Helena; this will be the first estate growing for our winery, and the goal is to produce a small amount of the very best grapes possible. We are a boutique winery, and we never want to be large. We want our label to continue to represent quality, and by keeping production small we can continue to keep our eye on every part of the winemaking process, from grape growing to seeing our bottles on the shelf!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
