Our exceptional wines are produced from small lots of premium grapes harvested exclusively from local vineyards. Pismo Beach Winery was founded by winemakers and owners; Bryan and Martin Friedman who have combined wine making experience of over 30 years. "We located here in Pismo Beach because the unique micro climate in Pismo Beach is the perfect location for premium wine production".

Our highly acclaimed Pinot Noir is produced with the grapes harvested from our own vineyards located in Edna Valley and Avila Valley. "Our Pinot Noir is very special due not only to our unique farming practices as well as the combination of the four different clones of Pinot we cultivate." All our other varieties, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Barbera and Petite Syrah, are made exclusively from our proprietary grape sources grown in micro-climates within San Luis Obispo County. All wine production activities, from crush to bottling are performed on site at our winery.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
