Our passion is producing small lot hand-crafted wines sourced from premium vineyards located in BC, Washington and California wine growing region. We work with only the highest quality grapes from the best vineyards and gently harvest at the peak of ripeness. Unlike large wineries we baby our wines from grape to barrel to bottle making every effort to fashion vineyard-designate wines that are a natural expression of the place they are grown. This is not a wine-industrial-complex approach to wine making. We fuss over every small lot and barrel in making some of the very best wines found in Sonoma. Our goal is to craft Bold, Powerful, Intense food friendly styled wines. We hope you enjoy the passion we devote to each bottle.

Vin de Garagiste... What is a Garage Winery?

Bordeaux 'garage winery' movement hits New Westminster, a short 20 minute drive from Vancouver...Are you ready for the Canadian version of "Les Garagistes"?

Most people probably don't know because they don't know the French term. To explain, the term was coined in the 1970s by Belgians Marcel and Gerard Thienpont who purchased land in Bordeaux and established Chateau Le Pin, the concept of "garage wines." The movement, which allows smalltime winemakers to work in boutique settings at affordable prices, grew in the early '90s when St. Emilion's Chateau de Valandraud was created in Bordeaux.

"The garagiste winemaker, intimately involved in every step of the process, is practically bound to make a wine which reflects his or her personality, just as a painting reflects the personality of the painter. It can be wine made to your own standards, with passion coming before profit."

In other words, it is "for winemakers and owners of limited production, high quality wine brands who are dedicated to their craft and wish to affordably assume more control over winemaking and promotional activities." Our goal, simply put, is to purchase the "Best Grapes Possible" that will allow us to make the "Best Wine Possible"! We are not bound by geography, so when an opportunity avails, we will pursue to ensure that it meets with our rigid standards. We produce wines that are Bold, Powerful & Intense, and all grapes that we source must have the potential to make wines that meet this criteria! We will not compromise!!! All of the wines we produce, regardless of its price category, meet this criteria. Our current releases are in the $20, $30, $40 & $50 price points and in our opinion, each are all "World Class Wines".

For those of you who are familiar with Kim Crawford Wines, well...Kim Crawford Wines started as a garage winery in 1996. Crawford acted as a negociant, buying grapes, using various winery facilities, and running all the business operations from their tidy little family home in Auckland, New Zealand. They started with Chardonnay as their first wine but over the years added others to their wine portfolio. They also opened up a tasting room and cellar in Hawke's Bay and eventually set up their own winery in Marlborough.
