As you may know, we had been struggling for about 5 years in the courts against the township trustees. They claimed that we are a restaurant and NOT an agricultural entity. (None of whom are currently in office, by the way.)

You are welcome to look up the law to see for yourself what we saw.(ORC 519.21).

So, last summer, the Ohio Supreme Court finally put all of this to a resounding end with a 7-0 verdict that the township is wrong and we are an agricultural entity allowed to make and sell wine.

We are very happy that we are allowed to continue serving you, our wine family. However, as a result of this action by the township, our business has suffered in many ways.


So now is the time to put all of this behind us and recover!

To this end we are implementing our “Recovery Plan”.

It focuses on helping you know we are here, open, have a renewed sense of focus and commitment, and are ready to bring you wonderful wines at this beautiful setting.


You have all been so very supportive! We could not have survived this terrible ordeal without you! And now, again with your help, we are ready to recover ourselves and grow as we should have been allowed to!
