Winery Co-Founders Keith Watt and Barb Reid on their philosophy of Wine:

"From feasts with friends to quiet contemplation to researching wine information and knowledge, wine is a guide to our daily ritual, because at Morning Bay we believe in the lifestyle of wine. As human's most historic and sophisticated food, wine forms the centre of our life. The positive health benefits of wine coupled with its wonderful influence on the human spirit make wine a constant companion to life at Morning Bay. Whether offering our wines as a gift or stocking your cellar (see our food and wine guide), we think you'll find Morning Bay brings the wine lifestyle into your home."

Morning Bay makes wines from some of BC’s best vineyards (see our wine awards). With grapes from our own oceanfront vineyards on Pender Island to the Black Sage Bench in the hot Okanagan Valley, Morning Bay crafts hand-made wines with style and expression. Pinot noir, gewurztraminer, merlot, syrah and other types of winegrapes form small lots gently aged in our concrete cave. Blended and bottled with precision and care, our wines are built to be enjoyed now, or aged for years (see our wine guide to types). If you're looking to buy Canadian wines online, please visit our wine shop.

Our vineyard and winery are located in the sparkling BC Gulf Islands region of southern Georgia Straight in British Columbia. We offer fully catered hosting for your special event in a beautiful setting. Weddings, private parties and any other special event you have will be forever memorable with the backdrop of our breath-taking ocean views and spectacular vineyard settings. Unique on the Gulf Islands, Morning Bay's event hosting services provide everything--privacy and exclusivity, fabulous oceanfront locations, professional catering, and, of course, a sumptuous selection of wines.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
