A new family owned and operated Virginia Farm Winery producing handcrafted wines from French-American hybrid varietals.

We look forward to your visit to our winery and vineyard. We hope to see you soon!

Lexington Valley Vineyard is located on 67 rolling, scenic acres in the Shenandoah Valley ten minutes Northwest of Lexington, Virginia. The first planting of Norton grapes was completed in March, 2000. Norton (sometimes called Cynthiana) is a Virginia original first described around 1835. Norton is believed to be a naturally occurring cross between an American wild grape and a French cultivar. The wine from this grape is a deeply colored, dry red with a very full-bodied flavor.

If you like a complex dry red wine like Merlot, we highly recommend you try a bottle of Norton. Norton wines are currently available from several Virginia and Missouri wineries.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
