Sisters Amy and Sheila were walking across land their parents had given them, trying to decide what they could do with tobacco land that no longer had a tobacco allotment. “If we could get something to grow as easily as these old grapevines….” Amy said. “Why not grapes?” Sheila asked. Well, they have not stopped since that famous walk.

“Over 95 years ago our Uncle Pink had a vineyard on this very property. He raised Muscadines and had his own special blends. Our mom always told us that God would open doors; however, it was up to you to walk thru the door. The sisters definitely walked thru the open door of opportunity and have not looked back. Mom’s advice has proved well.

Phase 1 was the vineyard.. Phase 2 was Inn’d vine, a unique 3-bedroom inn resembling an old barn and decorated in cottage-style. Rooms: “Coastal Carolina”; “Waccamaw” and “Old Glory”, each having it’s private luxury bath, ceiling fans, great beds and lots of peace and quite. The spacious porches both upstairs and down give many hours of relaxation just a-sittin’ and a-rocking and a-sippin’ wine.

Grapefull Sisters is a full-working Muscadine vineyard. We have 8 varietals of wine from a great semi-dry white wine to the traditional sweet.

Grapefull Sisters Vineyard, Inn d’Vine and Carrollwoods will become your own special getaway. Come escape for a romantic weekend; a night out with the girls; a vineyard wedding; or simply a glass of wine on the front porch at sunset. We can cater luncheons or afternoon wine tastings.

“Crybaby” and “goodkitty” and newest additions are “lunch”, “dinner “ two ducks and “snack” the resident goose that will delight you with their inquisitive nature.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
