Josh and Ryan started with wine making kits in early 2001 in an attempt to produce “drinkable” wine. First attempts were mixed, but much as learned as it became quite clear that wine from concentrate is less than tasty.

We have since specialized in red wines with most of our vintages being a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot. Most recently, 2006 vintage, has included an attempt at Chardonnay.

This year we entered our 2005 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in the 2006 California State Fair and won Bronze Medals for both wines. This was a great accomplishment as the wines were barely 8 months old when judged, leaving much room for aged improvement.

Our focus is on making quality wines from quality grapes. We spend a lot of time talking with our vineyard partners in the months leading up to harvest, ensuring that the grape progression is acceptable. Upon harvest we peruse the vineyards finding the best grapes for our vintage wines.

Once home we put much effort in incorporating friend and family in the process from start to finish. There’s nothing better than watching the process of grapes on a vine becoming a well balanced, nicely aged wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
