Duxoup Wine Works

Duxoup Wine Works
Dry Creek Valley
Healdsburg, California

Contact: Deborah and Andrew Cutter.

Founded in 1981, Duxoup Wine Works is the creation of two free-spirited, inquisitive winemakers: Deborah and Andrew Cutter. They built their small winery themselves, on a hillside at the northern end of Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. The two-person operation is designed for small production and gentle, gravity flow winemaking. Deb and Andy specialize in producing silky, fruity wines from grapes grown in venerable vineyards. Fulfilled by every aspect of their work, the Cutters are a team during crush, barreling and bottling, at winemaker dinners and wine tastings on the road. Also, lowering their carbon web-print, the Duxoup Duo has run their all-gravity winery off a photovoltaic system since 2005. Duxoup wines express not only terroir, but also the skilled handwork of the two owners, both experienced winemakers respected for their independence and consistent quality. They are serious about their chosen wines: Syrah, Sangiovese, Dolcetto, Gamay Noir and Charbono. The Duxoup signature is fruit and balance. The wines are rare, but available, under the Duxoup and Gennaio labels.

Winemaker: Deborah and Andrew Cutter.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
