The only thing that will never change at Dunham Cellars is its winemaking philosophy. We will continue to produce premium wines through gentle treatment in all phases of the winemaking process. Eric's goal is to bring something to the bottle he enjoys and is proud to hang the Dunham name on.

Dunham Cellars wines are first offered to our Wine Club Members and then the remaining allocations are placed in restaurants and wine shops in selected locations around the country, as well as Japan and Canada. For a full list of retail outlets and restaurants, please contact us directly at the winery. The Dunham Cellars tasting room is open daily from 11am to 4pm. We can accommodate large groups with advance notice.
DAN WAMPFLER - WINEMAKER

Dan's philosophy is "Winemaking is science applied to art."

A native of Michigan, Dan took his undergraduate and Master's degrees in enology from Michigan State University. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with Ste. Michelle Wine Estates as a research winemaker, honing his production skills with red wines at Chateau Ste. Michelle's Canoe Ridge Winery, and with whites and premium red wines as Assistant Winemaker at Columbia Crest.

Armed with a sense of humor and a desire to work in a closely-knit team environment, Dan joined Dunham Cellars as Winemaker in early 2008. He strives to demonstrate his passion for wine in every bottle.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys to cook and spend time with friends over a glass of wine (and yes, sometimes, a cold beer!) He has been a drummer for more than 20 years and greatly enjoys fly-fishing.

MIKE DUNHAM
Owner - A Walla Walla native, Mike began his journey into the world of business after attending Oregon State University, majoring in Marketing. A five year stint with Standard Oil in San Francisco led him back to Walla Walla, where Mike's natural ability to "play well with others" landed him a job with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. A successful career in the insurance business provided the foothold Mike needed to help start Dunham Cellars with Joanne and Eric. Mike officially retired from NML in the Spring of 2001 to concentrate solely on the winery. Mike is involved in sales and marketing nationally
