Our belief is that great wine only comes from great fruit, not from concentrates. For our reds and fruits we practice whole fruit, slow fermentations to extract the best flavors and aromas. For our whites it is all about gentle pressing and then cool fermentation temperatures for the juice. This gives us wines of varietal character and trueness. Ultimately, we wish to give you the very same thing we would want----the best wine for the money.

All of our fruits come from the family owned farm, Blueberry Acres, or from other reputable fruit farms or
vineyards in Michigan, Wisconsin, New York or California. We will continue to do this in the future to supplement our 8 acres of grapevines just planted in the spring of 2011. These include Cayuga White,
Traminette, Vignoles, LaCrescent, Marechal Foch, Marquette and Concord. With meticulous care and
astute attention to detail, we will strive to nurture the best grapes from these varietals for our wines.
After all, if the fruit is great the winemaking part is easy.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
