Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery is a small, family owned business located in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Today Clover Hill is producing more than 75,000 gallons of wine annually and we worked hard over the past two decades to build a reputation for producing premium Pennsylvania wines. Clover Hill Winery started as a dream and became a family tradition.

John and Pat Skrip are the passionate team that founded Clover Hill. John, a civil engineer, and Pat, a school teacher, had a fondness for wine and committed themselves to their passion. In the early 1970's they began planting grapes as a hobby at their home in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. They were impressed with the quality of the grapes and it encouraged them to establish a full time vineyard and winery business.

In September of 1985 John and Pat proudly opened the doors of Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery to the public. Over the years, the winery has grown in size, while John and Pat have remained committed to producing premium Pennsylvania wines.

John and Pat have now been joined by two of their children to share the passion of Clover Hill Winery. John Skrip III joined Clover Hill in the early 90's after studying enology at Fresno State University, California. His educational background gave him a great foundation and with more than ten vintages under his belt he has blossomed in the field of experience.

Daughter Kari has planted herself at Clover Hill in 2000 after studying wine marketing at the University of Adelaide, Australia. Today, she is thrilled to be working in all aspects of the business with focus on marketing, promotion and distribution.

The second generation of Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery is determined to continue the family tradition of premium Pennsylvania wines. Both John and Kari have a real love for Clover Hill and the area of southeastern Pennsylvania. It is their hope that the wine, service and attitude of Clover Hill will typify the goodness to be found in our area of Pennsylvania.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
