Cinque Insieme (“Cheen Kway In See Em Ay”) is Italian for “Five Together.” Cinque Insieme was founded by five wine lovers, and produced five barrels in its initial vintage. Cinque Insieme’s objective is to source grapes from exclusive vineyards, and make small batch wines that are both unique and of high quality. Our ultimate goal was to find a talented winemaker with the vision and skills to turn great fruit into elegant, hand-crafted wines. In Justin Lattanzio we found the perfect match.

In our inaugural 2005 vintage, Justin’s attention to detail and his gentle, minimalist approach to fermentation and aging helped to create a delicate and highly refined Syrah from the famous White Hawk Vineyard in Santa Barbara County. This wine won praise among peers and professionals in the winemaking industry and sold out within months of release. The 2006 vintage is an earthier, lower alcohol Syrah, reflective of the cooler growing season. We believe those who were pleasantly surprised by our first offering will become permanently hooked by our second.
