Victor Cruz produces an absolutely outstanding red Meritage for his Cañon de Sol wine family. Victor's unique red wine blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from select vineyards within the Columbia Valley. The term Meritage was coined to identify wines that represent the highest form of the winemaker's art and blending of fine grapes; and to distinguish these wines from the more generic moniker "red table wine."

The name reflects the serenity in Badger Canyon where the winery is located. Here our family enjoys the simplicity of nature as the sun rises and sets over the picturesque hills. Cañon de Sol produces hand-crafted wines made from fruit grown in the Columbia Valley Appellation. The Columbia Valley is the perfect place to cultivate and nurture the finest grapes harvested from various vineyards for our wines. The intricate process of our wines; from bloom, to hand harvest, to crush, to aging; insures the highest quality made for your pleasure! Enjoy!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
