Having welcomed numerous inquisitions and countless requests; initiating myriad false starts, and breaking too many promises to remain reputable; we are happy to announce The Inaugural Release of Argot Wines (herald the fanfare, but please hold the ironic applause—we said this would take a while). Four harvests ago we unfurled Argot’s sails when two tons of grapes, under our watchful eyes, transformed into wine, becoming our first bottling, the 2007 Red Wine, The Preamble. A year later we practiced another round of this sorcery, this time with white grapes, creating our second bottling, the 2008 Bennett Valley Chardonnay, Ed’s Would. These are wines we are deeply proud of, and represent much of what we have been up to out here on the left coast. It is our honor to share these creations with you.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
