Agate Ridge Vineyard was established in the Rogue Valley in 2001 by the Kinderman family. Uniting a keen knowledge for business and a passion for wine, we began searching for the perfect vineyard site in 2000 and located a beautiful 126 acre farm that has been in existence in the valley for 100 years.

With much excitement, the initial 20 acre planting began in 2002, which was followed by much exhaustion by the whole family. After planting over 15,000 grapevines, we seriously began to question our sanity as the enormity of our project sank in. As if we hadn’t learned our lesson, we have since added an additional 10 acres to our vineyard, followed by the completion of our winery in 2005. Today, we look out on our 30 acre vineyard estate and winery surrounded by magnificent vistas of Lower and Upper Table Rock and Mt. McLaughlin with a tremendous amount of pride. As our vision continues into the future, we carry with us our goal to produce the highest quality wines, while using the best practices, people and technologies with an emphasis on helping to promote the prosperity and beauty of Southern Oregon.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
